Aim
To study and develop theory and techniques for the semantic web.
Scope
The scope of the Working Group’s activities includes (but is not restricted to) the following:
- Knowledge representation for the web
- Generic and heuristic reasoning methods for the web
- Database Integration Interoperability of web services
- Interoperability of web services
- Ontologies for web content description
- Content-based information and knowledge retrieval
- Metadata and knowledge markup
- Information extraction, automatic and semi-automatic generation of meta data
- Web-based knowledge management and electronic commerce
