DESCRIPTION:\n\nOverview\nIt gives us great pleasure to invite you (in-pers
on) to University College Cork (UCC)\, Cork\, Ireland\, for the 2026 Joint
Open Conference of the IFIP WG 8.3 (Decision Support) &amp\; WG 12.15 (Ge
nerative AI). The IFIP Working Group 8.3 has a long-standing tradition of
fostering interdisciplinary dialogue on decision support systems\, with a
focus on how information systems/technology can enhance human effectivenes
s in complex\, uncertain tasks. IFIP WG 12.15 is the newest IFIP WG. Thus\
, this conference continues that legacy and openly pushes it forward into
the age of AI. On this basis\, we aim to continue the success of past IFIP
WG 8.3 conferences in supporting the dissemination of quality research\,
but also to provide a memorable experience in University College Cork (UCC
 )\, Cork\, Ireland.\nDecision-making in today’s world is increasingly shap
ed by complex\, dynamic\, and uncertain contexts. The role of decision sup
port systems (DSS) has never been more critical\, not just to automate tas
ks\, but to augment human judgment\, foster collaboration\, and support se
nse-making in situations that cannot be fully specified in advance. The tr
ansformations enabled by AI (Artificial Intelligence) also signal a powerf
ul force shaping the future of decision support systems (DSS)\, echoing bo
th technological progress and strategic opportunities for system designers
 . Therefore\, the 2026 IFIP WG8.3 conference theme is:&nbsp\;Human-Centric
Decision Making: Transforming with AI.\nThe IFIP WG 8.3 conference commit
tee welcomes both academic and practitioner community contributions on a w
ide range of topics using a range of scholarly approaches that showcase th
e latest innovations and achievements in decision support and decision mak
ing. Submitted contributions that showcase methodological advances and rea
l case studies will be especially welcomed. All contributions will be doub
le-blind peer-reviewed\, and the acceptance of a contribution will be base
d on the originality of the work\, the relevance to the conference theme a
nd its overall quality.\nThe 2026 Joint Open Conference of the IFIP WG 8.3
(Decision Support) &amp\; WG 12.15 (Generative AI) will highlight the app
lications\, methods\, analytics\, stakeholders and impacts of decision mak
ing and decision support in society and business. Suggested research topic
s (presented as conceptual/theoretical\, empirical\, design science and ca
se-based approaches\, amongst others) can include\, but are not limited to
\, the A to Z of Human-Centric Decision Making. We especially welcome pape
rs that explore how AI\, analytics\, and decision support systems/technolo
gies can be designed\, developed\, and deployed to enhance\, not replace\,
human decision-making. This includes attention to how humans and machines
co-create value\, how DSS adapt to ill-structured problems\, and how emer
ging technologies transform the very nature of managerial and societal dec
 isions.\n\n\n\n\nConference Publications\nIntending participants in the 20
26 Joint Open Conference of the IFIP WG 8.3 (Decision Support) &amp\; WG 1
2.15 (Gen AI) are invited to make a submission for consideration for prese
ntation at the conference and publication in its proceedings. Submissions
must be original contributions that have not been previously published. Ac
cepted submissions will be published when there is a unique author registr
ation (to attend the conference) for each submission. Full academic resear
ch papers and research-in-progress papers will be presented in regular ses
 sions.\nSubmission Types\n\nFull Research Papers (max 14 pages):&nbsp\;The
maximum length of submitted manuscripts is 14 pages. The maximum length o
f final versions of manuscripts is 17 pages. This includes the title page\
, references\, and appendices. Over length manuscripts will not be accepte
d for publication (manuscripts with smaller page margins and font sizes th
an specified in the author instructions and set in the template files will
also be treated as over length). Accepted full papers will be published i
n the Journal of Decision Systems (a Taylor &amp\; Francis publication) as
a supplemental proceedings and available on the&nbsp\;JDS site.\nResearch
-In-Progress Papers (max 8 pages):&nbsp\;The maximum length of submitted (
RIP) manuscripts is 8 pages. This includes the title page\, references\, a
nd appendices. Over length manuscripts will not be accepted for publicatio
n (manuscripts with smaller page margins and font sizes than specified in
the author instructions and set in the template files will also be treated
as over length). Accepted research-in-progress papers will&nbsp\;not&nbsp
\;be published in the supplemental proceedings.\n\nNumber and order of aut
hors\nEach author can be ‘lead’ on at most two (2) submissions and ‘co-aut
hor’ on at most four (4) submissions. After initial submission\, authors c
annot be added to or deleted from full research papers or research-in-prog
 ress papers.\nReviewing process&nbsp\;\nThe review process is double-blind
(authors identities not known to reviewers). Manuscripts will be evaluate
 d based on technical quality\, novelty\, potential impact\, and clarity. P
articipants will be asked to confirm that no generative AI tools have been
used in the writing of the article. If authors use AI tools in the produc
tion of images or graphical elements for the paper they should be explicit
ly mentioned and disclosed in the appropriate section of the paper.\nSubmi

DESCRIPTION:\n\nArtificial Intelligence &amp\; Sustainability Workshop 14\,
IJCAI25\, Montreal\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Artificial Intelligence (AI) has a pote
ntial to help humans even empower them in many ways. However\, AI and espe
cially generative AI produces also some negative effects.\nSustainability
is a complex topic that requires first deep understanding before applying
the adequate techniques. Often solving complex problems involves using hyb
rid AI architecture.&nbsp\; Knowledge and experience are also important fo
r “smart and green” problem solving.\nToday we have to face and try to fix
the environmental challenges in the growing cities\, industry\, agricultu
re\, energy\, water and other resource management. Energy life cycle\, opt
imization\, and combination of renewable energies for sustainable powering
and heating can be improved applying also Knowledge Management principles
. Raising prices of natural gas drives growth in renewable energies. Indus
tries like steel\, glass\, chemical manufacturing sites are they are looki
ng for AI based control systems for the Grid connected micro-grids. Circul
ar energy explores the heat generated by data centers and the waste steam
for a sustainable environment as like creating fish farms or agricultural
sites\, or recreating cooling water\, which are additional processes that
demand AI-based scheduling using meteorological data. Clean energy solutio
ns require evolution of manufacturing processes and holistic approach supp
orted by rigorous analytics\, high quality data and the recognition of inf
rastructure dependencies. In order to increase sustainability in agricultu
re\, it is vital to incorporate green technologies into farming\, e.g.\, r
enewable generation. However\, there are significant challenges associated
with enhancing the sustainability of agriculture.\nRelated to technology
itself the challenge is producing smarter and greener hardware\, software
and applications.\nThis workshop follows the previously organized AI4KM on
